ΜΒΤΙ (Myers & Briggs Type Index) Personality Type Analysis & Career Fit.

The most well-known and scientifically documented Analysis of Personality and Career Orientation and Development. It is used in schools but also by companies and individuals around the world. This tool helps to identify the personality type of an individual, the strengths, weaknesses, and how one can improve herself/himself.

1. THE ANALYSIS

Personnel Type Analysis

Athens Home Services offers top-quality, exclusive services. Our goal is to use the latest tools available worldwide in order to help you find the perfect nanny or baby nurse for your children and make your life easier.

Who can do the MBTI:

The family that will hire the staff will pay for both MBTI analyses. It would be very helpful if the nanny did the personality analysis since they will all live together in the family’s home. Her consent is a prerequisite.

Why should parents do the MBTI analysis?

Parents will be able to do better interviews, after learning and better understanding their own personality. For example, the mother will be able to decide on a candidate who is an introvert during the interview (and which she may have rejected right away), that she is suitable for the post, since she also has excellent recommendations. The opposite may also happen. An introvert mother doing an interview with an extrovert candidate may see different sides of her character and decide she is the ideal person for her children. When a person hires staff, s/he automatically becomes a “manager”. It is good to learn to handle situations and work in harmony with different personalities. MBTI analysis will help professional relations and make both employees and employers happier and more successful in what they do.

It will particularly help the employer and employee, mother and nanny:
01

improve their relationships

02

resolve their differences in a better way

03

make better decisions and solve potential problems more efficiently

04

manage changes and emergencies in a much easier way (crisis management)

2. How does it work

How does the MBTI work?

With the Personality Type Analysis & Career Orientation and Development we analyze our personality according to 4 key areas/characteristics that according to psychologists are the most important and define our personalities.

PERSONALITY ANALYSIS

Extraversion (E) or Introversion (I)

Where you focus your attention – What is your relationship with other people?

Sensing (S) or Intuition (N)

The way you take in information – With the five senses (touch, sight, hearing, smell, taste) or do you leave the sixth sense, your instinct, free?

Thinking (T) or Feeling (F)

How you make decisions – Do you decide with the mind or the heart?

Judging (J) or Perceiving (P)

How you deal with the world – Is the dominant characteristic of your personality organizing and programming or spontaneity?

MBTI shows us the strong characteristics of our personality and helps us understand how we can develop them to build confidence, but also the weak ones, and how we can improve them. We also learn how to make better decisions in our lives that lead to better choices, in our personal, family and professional life.

Additionally, it has been found that most conflicts arise in collaborations: 1) between people who take decisions based on thinking and those who act based on emotion 2) between planners and spontaneous characters

A thinker – a person whose personality is based in logic – can be a little harsh while saying what bothers her/him and a feeler -an emotional person- could take it personally. An employer/mother who functions based on planning and organizing everything, could have a conflict with a nanny who is spontaneous and cannot get organized.

Of course, everyone has positive points in their character and collaborations between different types of people are often extremely successful. For example, the “sensing type” is better at details, while the intuitive type may be more creative and see the overall picture better.

Finally, MBTI analysis can show that although the nanny is a different type from the mother, she can be an amazing match to the child, bringing a better balance within the family, by acting as a complementary pole.
